Municipal Family Support Centre in Gdańsk is an entity of City of Gdańsk. Our Centre activates people at risk of social exclusion by providing services in the field of:
specialist counseling for families and children
care for the elderly, the disabled and the homeless
organising a substitute parental care
and others
Our experience in helping disadventaged people includes also carrying out numerous projects co-funded by the EU. Our projects aimed at social and professional activation of particular groups of people supported by our Centre.
Our Centre is highly interested in an inclusion within AAL project with a group of end users who require home care. That group is particularly important for us. Unfortunately, so far we did not have a chance to support the elderly and disabled people within a project, through which would be able to improve comfort of their lifes and at the same time reject necessity for placement in residential home.
We have staff who willingly will engage in proposed activity. In a project we can identify proper end users groups, interview and assess their requirements, engage professionals of home care services, social workers, administrative and management staff and other external end user organisations. Our Centre would be able to carry out tests based on new technological solutions to increase safety of the elderly at their homes, constantly monitor process and impact of the project; evaluate and disseminate projects’ results.
