Fratellanza Popolare di Peretola (FPP) is an association of public non-profit assistance in Florence that deals with emergency healthcare, as a private public partnership with the local health service, and social/health services for over 100 years. It is one of the largest public assistance associations in Italy integrated in the network of Italian Public Assistance, ANPAS, a network of 880 associations, whose strength is precisely the volunteers (today 90000), the citizen members (today over 300,000) and the capillarity with which the national territory is covered (presence in 19 Italian regions).

For the elderly, FPP, through its Senior Citizens' Re-activation Center (CRAF), offers social and aggregation activity to the elderly, affected by disabling diseases, aimed at recovering and maintaining them in an optimal status both from a physical that social point of view. In particular, in the CRAF, the neurological group, the articular group, the advanced osteoarticular group, the Parkinson group are operative. More than 270 elderly people today benefit from these activities on a potential basin of 15,000 over 65 years old in the territory in which FPP operates, with the potential to extend this action in terms of people and centers through the ANPAS network.

The goal of CRAF is to support older people independent living in term of autonomy and quality of life improvement and ensure them with fast attention in case of emergency. This in an urban environment where elder increase in numbers every year. To expand and make more effective the action, facing the challenge of diminishing resources, FPP plans to start collaborations with national/foreign organizations on innovative projects and ideas related to community services as well to integrating technology in offering care to elder. FPP could contribute as end-user caregivers organization well deep-rooted on the territory, with access to a large number of primary end user and strong relationship with local government organization.

If you feel that FPP can collaborate in any way in any project, contact us for further to discuss on the possibilities.
