We are interested in the integration components (sensors and actors) in the area of home automation. The goal is the realization of intelligent, flexible and economic solutions. Our focus lies on solutions for elderly and handicapped people. Beside the research on automation solutions we are also interested in mechatronics.
A major goal is the realization of non-proprietary solutions. In our eyes they have to full fill at least the following requirements: affordable and customizable to different user profiles.
We perform applied research with small and medium enterprises. Over the last years we were able to establish a network with companies in our region. Beside that we are also in contact with local end user groups.
We already participated on projects on the European level.
