TEA is a social services company that provides a comprehensive set of services in homecare of elder , aimed to support them in their daily activities and enhance their ability to stay independent. We are an SME franchise of Allianz Global Assistance of Allianz Group. Since 2011, TEA belongs to the cluster of Health and Well being of Madrid Network where are gathered the most innovative technological companies in the Madrid region. TEA has put a lot of effort into creating awareness among local authoritiesof the two regions in Spain where it operates, Madrid and Castilla La Mancha about the potential benefits of introducing ICT in the homecare services provided by municipalities. As a consequence has TEA has important agreements with Alcorcón ( 169.000 inhabitants), Mostoles (200.000 inhabitants) Brunete (10.000 inhabitants ) Guadalajara (84.000 inhabitants) Cuenca (56.000 inhabitants ) y Toledo (83.000 inhabitants). Because of the important experience acquired in technology in combination with care to support independent living TEA was selected as reference site for best practices in active aging together with Hospital de Getafe in 2012 by the European Commission EIP AHA ( European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Aging) TEA is also part of the consortium of Make it ReAAL a roll out with 7000 users in real life of 7 european countries of active and independent living applications on top of the open service platform universAAL. TEA leads a pilot with 550 end users and four different applications.
